Last week I ran three tempo runs. My running level at the moment is around 31'20" at 10km and 1h 09'30" at the half marathon. Now I will train intensive for 2 weeks with the goal to improve my fitness level at the end of this period with 1' on 10 km and 2'30" over the half marathon. The problem with my right leg is solved with special thanks to Raymond V.D. for his very painfull but results-oriented massage. At the moment my regular training partner Vital Gahungu is injured on his achilles. So I am looking for a runner to accompany me during my interval training sessions. Retrospective: Vital and me during an rainy interval session in the forest (aug. 2011)
We were running fast so the image is indecipherable :-) It is not so funny to run a lot when your shape is wretched. But there's only one way back and that is with some serious training. On race pace my right leg is still giving me some troubles but i can enjoy the training! Greetings lander. Thes guys are the best of the best! But they almost died during this heavy training run!
Picture by Henri Salavarda. This the normal routine of a marathoner. When you train on this rythm, the running becames the same routine as brushing your teeth. My legs didn't react well after the track training so my body is not ready for some heavier training runs. It looks like I still need some time! Greetings Lander
Time to leave the PC and go out running in the forest. Last week I ran four times: 3 times easy, one time medium with Stan and Willem on sunday. Yesterday my legs were very stiff. Today first double day with 30' in the morning and a track training in the evening.During the track training my sidekicks were Raf Tilburgh and Bart Verschoren. They did the front running so I just had to follow their heels. Our times for the 5 times 1000m were: 3’02”; 3’00”; 2’58”; 2’58”; 2’53” (recup 600m). If I will have no bad reaction in my right leg tomorrow, the coach will be really pleased that I am back on track. Stay tuned! Lander No half marathon for me next saturday because I still felt my leg during a 10 km tempo run last weekend. Regrettable because this would the first time that I could run in Zwolle. Maybe next year. Now it's time to focus on getting injury free and training. Greetings Lander
The news: not much of running for me during the past week with only three runs. Despite the amount of recovery time I was also sick (laryngitis). But I don't have this blog for cutting and complaining. So it's time to look forward, normally we planned a half marathon on saturday 9 june in Zwolle and I will decide upcoming tuesday to start in this race. Tomorrow my wife and my mother will run in Wambeek so I will accompany them in this jogging. In the meantime my training group is running fast at Font Romeu (France). Below an action picture by my coach during a 20 times 20" fast speed training. On the picture Tarik, Frehewat and Onesphore. Greetings Lander
