My routine for having the ideal racing flats on marathon day goes as follows:

December and January are the hardest training months for a long distance runner due to the lack of sunshine. But no problem the time flies and before we know the Summer is back. Keep up the good training and a fast time in your spring marathon will follow. Greetings Lander
After my fever days in the past week, we considered not to run in Hannuit. But at the moment my body is healthy so there's no problem. Two Salavarda guys will be shooting for a victory Dame Faisa Tasama and Onesphore Nkuzimana.
Who will win this race? It's hard to tell. Can Pieter Desmet surprise after his altitude training stage in Kenia? I hope he wins it. Preliminary starting list: click here. Good atmosphere and a stiff competition because the winner of the race received a family car. Greetings Lander After one month of easy training it was time to do our usual marker workout. This workout consists out of 4 times 3000 meters on the track with 200m jog as recuperation. It gives an honest image about our shape and the work we still need to do. The weather was fine with no wind and a light rain. Our times over the 3000 meters:
Eva and me enjoyed our break and this epic race was a great way to end my vacation. On saturday we came home for running this race, at the evening I arrived in the athletes hotel in Egmond. It's the second time I ran this race and I love the course in the dunes. Yesterday I died ten times during the race, this was definitely no easy run on the beach for me. The other Belgian and Dutch runners were a lot stronger than me, I came in as 18th in 1h 06' 10". The man of the race was Benjamin Barbier, he ran a superb race an finished as 11th in a good 1 h 04' 04''. But there were also a lot other athletes that ran a great race. More results click here. In three weeks from now I will start to train serious for my next marathon. My next race will be the XC race in Hannuit, the day after this race the training goes up and up.
