I like the fact that my schedule is full and I may not complain because me and Eva will go on holiday to the Swiss mountains (Silvaplana) in two weeks time, this means the extra time to train and to rest is coming soon. Lander
It will be hot, so the warming up will be really short. Is this weather to train hard or to eat icecream? I just made the chose to go out and train hard.
The gladiators would say to their : ave, coach, morituri te salutamus. Greetings Lander This means a lot of slow running and medium interval training. My shape is not good at the moment but I am not injured and there is no rush to get in top shape. Greetings Lander
1) French runner Yoann Kowal during a speed session with local talent.
2) The most dangerous animal in the world. 3) Are there still dinosaurs left? The answer is yes. 4) Core workout. 5) I believe that it is courageous to use a boat like this. So me and Eva visited them at the Belgian coast where they were on leave. Of course the running shoes were in the bag. Below some pictures of my morning training run accompanied by the grandfather (82 years old), my training was 19 km at 3'45" average. See you soon. Lander Patrick is a great athlete, I am happy in his place, this promises a lot for his next marathon. Another dutch friend Ronald Schröer also ran a fast 29'09".
Yesterday the weather was perfect for running a 10 000m unfortunately my shape is nowhere and I dropped out of the race soon after the 5000m point that I passed in 14'49". I am not sick nor injured, so it's time to retrain! See you soon, Lander 1) In Kenya there is always someone who has a good day and ensures the pace during training.
2) Time to roll. 3) The coach promoting the bitburger Silvesterlauf in Trier 4) Almensch and Rosemary during a speed session (150m). 5) No pain, no gain. This is the agreement that I have with my coach and it is hard for me, because I would like to run every week a race. But it is the only way to become a good marathon runner. Below my coach during a diner with the great Italian coach Renato Canova, he trains for example Saif Said Shaheen (WR holder 3000m steeple) and Moses Mosop (2 h 03'06" in the Boston marathon in 2011). My next marathon preparation will be similar to the run-up from Moses for Boston. Of course my trainingschedule will be lighter but the principles will be te same. So far I ran 3 races in the last 9 weeks but next wednesday I will line up for another 10 000m.
I am curious that the europacup, did give me the right image of my current shape. We will see. Greetings Lander |
